Cat’s Day Out : Runaway KittyFunction introduction

If you enjoyed your relaxing row across the seas of The Sailor's Dream, here's some good news. The studio behind it, Simogo, has announced a four-part "podcast mystery" set inside the same world.

It's to be called The Lighthouse Painting, and the first episode will be released in March, with the rest each arriving after a week apart.

It came about as Simogo had some unused music leftover from The Sailor's Dream. So, instead of forgetting about it, decided to create something else with it.

Some voiced narration, environmental sounds, and extra music later, and Simogo had itself an audio drama.

It tells a new story that can be enjoyed by itself but you'll probably notice connections to The Sailor's Dream as you listen to it.

Civilization VI is taking us back to the ancient Near East in its latest DLC, the Persia and Macedon Civilization and Scenario Pack. The bundle allows you to take the helm of two of history’s greatest civilizations. Alexander the Great heads up Macedonia, while Cyrus leads Persia, and each civilization has its own unique abilities.

Macedonia will sit well with folks who like to take a military approach to their Civilization games. Alexander the Great specializes in conquering new territory. Persia, on the other hand, is more focused on cultural advancements. You can choose to play through your own campaign as one of these great leaders, or see how they interact in the new Conquests of Alexander scenario.

The DLC pack is loaded up with new units and buildings that have their own abilities, and are unique to each of the new civilizations. Choosing the side of Alexander the Great will give you access to the Hypaspist unit and the Basilikoi Paides building, while Persia features the Immortal unit and the Pairidaeza improvement.

The Persia and Macedon DLC pack is available on the App Store for £8.99. You’ll need a copy of Civilization VI in order to play.

Hey you. Guess what? It's past midday on April 1, which means that anyone who tries to fool you from now on is a fool themselves. That's right, we survived for another year. Hooray!

Did anyone manage to 'get' you this year? Probably not, you're all too smart for that.

Though perhaps Alysia's Clash Royale emojis caught you off guard? Or maybe Biz's story on Alpha Go becoming the undisputed Tower master had you going for just a second?

Either way, now we can sit back and laugh (or not laugh) at them all together. Here's some of our favourites.

Frogmind cast things in a pretty dark light by promoting a brand new Badland amusement park. Just as well it's fake, something tells me this one wouldn't pass the required health and safety regulations.

SnoopDogg has been collaborating with You Tube to create Snoopavision, a roving 360 video featuring commentary on the hottest videos on the network. Though I wish he'd weighed in on whether the maple-covered bacon dog is a victim of ill-treatment or not.

The Closed Beta period for Bublar’s stunning location-based title ‘Otherworld Heroes’ has now begun, and you’ll be able to delve headfirst into this incredible fantasy adventure, either on iOS or Android.

Once again, Bublar has made expert use of the hottest AR technology in order to bring its most vivid world yet to life, and ‘Otherworld Heroes’ stands to become all the more impressive as time goes on.

The game sees you entering a beautifully designed fantasy world, as you’re thrust on an adventure that will see your journey through the “Otherworlds”, a magical realm that exists in parallel to our real world.

After your tribe is attacked by a horde of mystical creatures, the task of fighting back the devastating menace falls to you. These newfound enemies are no pushovers, and you’re going to have to craft powerful weapons, take on quests, and upgrade your character in order to save the day.

Combat in Otherworld Heroes is designed to be intuitive and fast. That being said, if you do find yourself struggling you could always get a friend to hop in to help you turn the tide of battle. And it’s that focus on social experiences that really turns Otherworld Heroes into a standout example of the genre.

To help further immerse you in its world, the game makes use of a rich soundscape. From the rustling of leaves and the sharp cracking of ice underfoot to the bloodcurdling roar of your enemy, everything works in tandem to create a genuinely believable world.

In the future, you can expect plenty of new and exciting features, including PvP arena tournaments and the ability to capture and tame some of the world’s wildlife.

Dead by Daylight"Exactly. I agree with you, dearie. We made a mistake when we called HIM. His face just looks like one of those long, narrow stones in the graveyard, doesn't it? `Sacred to the memory' ought to be written on his forehead. I shall never forget the first sermon he preached after he came. It was on the subject of everyone doing what they were best fitted for--a very good subject, of course; but such illustrations as he used! He said, `If you had a cow and an apple tree, and if you tied the apple tree in your stable and planted the cow in your orchard, with her legs up, how much milk would you get from the apple tree, or how many apples from the cow?' Did you ever hear the like in your born days, dearie? I was so thankful there were no Methodists there that day--they'd never have been done hooting over it. But what I dislike most in him is his habit of agreeing with everybody, no matter what is said. If you said to him, `You're a scoundrel,' he'd say, with that smooth smile of his, `Yes, that's so.' A minister should have more backbone. The long and the short of it is, I consider him a reverend jackass. But, of course, this is just between you and me. When there are Methodists in hearing I praise him to the skies. Some folks think his wife dresses too gay, but _I_ say when she has to live with a face like that she needs something to cheer her up. You'll never hear ME condemning a woman for her dress. I'm only too thankful when her husband isn't too mean and miserly to allow it. Not that I bother much with dress myself. Women just dress to please the men, and I'd never stoop to THAT. I have had a real placid, comfortable life, dearie, and it's just because I never cared a cent what the men thought."

Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen is back with Swing Copters, a hyper challenging twitch reflex game similar to its aforementioned avian precursor.

It will be available for free on iOS and Android this Thursday, on August 21st, with a 69p / 99c in-app purchase to remove ads.

Instead of playing a bird, Swing Copters puts you in control of a little dude fitted with an unfortunately jerky propeller helmet.

Tapping on the screen changes the direction your character is flying, from left to right, as it ascends into the air.

What makes Swing Copters even more challenging than Flappy Bird is the addition of moving obstacles. Rather than just evading beams on your ascent, you must dodge swinging hammers as well.

TouchArcade has an exclusive first look demo that you can check out below.

Mirages of Winter is a gorgeous adventure game all about Winter becoming Spring as well as our relationship with nature. It's available now for iOS as a premium title.

It's intended to be a serene experience as you make your across a snow-covered island that's filled with various creatures. Developers Mirari Games describe the game as being a poetic journey, so don't expect too much of a challenge here. There will also be actual poems too, that tell of Spring's arrival and harmony with nature.

Look, if you haven't played Lara Croft's critically acclaimed and amazing mobile adventure Lara Croft GO by now, you really should. Featuring some incredible puzzles, it received a first expansion a little while ago that extended the game with a brand new adventure.

If you remember The Little Fox, you may remember it had a few issues. However, h8games' latest title, Pengy Has a Dream, looks pretty promising and will be launching on iOS later this month.

"Speaking of Taylors, how is Mrs. Lewis Taylor up at the Glen, doctor?" asked Captain Jim."I've never really liked diamonds since I found out they weren't the lovely purple I had dreamed. They will always suggest my old disappointment ."

After months of silence, Telltale has finally revealed that The Walking Dead: season three will be coming to us next month, just in time for Christmas.

I think we can all agree that Telltale is pretty darn good at bringing us some fantastic stuff. From the heartbreak of The Walking Dead: season one, the hilarity of Tales From the Borderlands, and the unexpected take on the traditional plot-line in Batman, I'm obnoxiously excited about how this next instalment is going to turn out.

Years after The Walking Dead: season two concluded, we're toeing two storylines between the newcomer and family man, Javier, and our GIRL Clementine. I don't doubt that Telltale is going to make this one even more emotionally turbulent, so I'd better prepare myself now.

The first of its five episodes, A New Frontier, premiers December 20th across all platforms, including Google Play and the App Store.

You might remember that Odin Sphere, the classic JRPG on Playstation 2, got a remake called Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir in Japan earlier this year.

It was released on Playstation Vita and was due for a western release at some point.

NiS has announced that a date has been chosen and that's June 24 for Europe.
